Im left feeling confused, Im not sure if this book touched me or annoyed me.... the story itself is intresting however I found this book resembled *my undoing* quiet alot. story touched me and made me think but ended really sharply seems likea lot has been missed out. judge for urself.

A modern classic.

Like Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road' 1957, or Hunter S. Thompson's, 'Love and Loathing in Las Vegas' 1972, this semi autobiographical novel coins, and captures forever a time, a place, and lots of feeling. You'd have to have been there to have experienced the true horror and joy of the drug/club culture, and Aids in the mid 1990's, but you can get a real taste of it by reading Brutal. Magical and at the same time, very, very real.
