The idea behind this book really intrigued me, however I was a bit disappointed when it arrived. A /lot/ of the questions it answers are very USA-centric. If you're from Europe, you probably don't know or care what Wint-O-Mint Lifesavers are, peanut butter and root beer probably do not make up large portions of your diet, and the questions to do with FM radio constraints apply only to the US -- though at least the book does mention that things are different in Europe. In addition, the tone of the book gets a bit patronising at times. It's not only 12-year-olds who want to find some of this stuff out! In my opinion, the book would probably be very good for American youngsters, but not so brilliant for the rest of the world.
