These books are just the best! We send a big thankyou to Janette Oke for writing them! Even at the end of the first book you feel as if you are part of the family. You can cry with them laugh with them and even feel as though you want to help them when they are in trouble. We recomend anyone of any age to read them because they are so brilliant!!! Wow! Janette Oke's books are just great! I had the books for christmas andI had finished the whole set in the week. The books make you feel asthough you are actually part of the family, and that you could meet themany day as though you have known them for your whole life. I love all herbooks and I would recomend them to anyone who loves reading. My books areall over the place because people keep borrowing them because they are sobood!! So if you havent read them then I think you should!! Xx

Pathetic... the events and description don't fall into place

Janette Oke strikes me as a person desperate to get her name into the hall of fame in American historiacal literature... The books says as part of the review: "Cast in the mould of Little House on the Prarie"... which was not true... it was horribly unrealistic, the description of the setting didn't match the time frame.. and the whole story was just a romantic way of preaching christianity. Janette Oke needs to do more research and fill her strories with less romanticism if she wants it to be as well loved as Little House on the Prarie.

This whole series is wonderful. It has the right amount of romance and adventure and each book touches your heart. You grow with the family and their trials and tribulations and you become apart of Clark and Marty's life. A must read!

This series is wonderfully written. While reading I feel as though I am standing on the hill looking into the valley that is being written about, or in the room as part of the family. I have grown to love the characters! The series is truely refreshing to read.
