Harry Learns French

All children seem to enjoy learning from this book and CD rom. They especially like the situations if they are allowed to try and 'catch' the helicopter, chicken, crab or windsurfer with the mouse - it's very hard, but they have fun. The idea is to teach the children vocabulary and simple phrases as well as numbers. There are games at the end, like snakes and ladders, a word game, a shopping game and a farmyard game, which are all favourites with my pupils. Their experience of learning being thus enjoyable they are more than willing to do it again and again - it's a great way to get children interested in another language with very little apparent effort.
