I know I'm in a big minority here, but this is my first experience of Sheila O'Flanagan, and quite possibly my last! This book was like a Mills & Boon book. A huge Mills & Boon book. A huge Mills & Boon book with a corny story and a predictable ending. I thought it was going to be like Jane Green, Marian Keyes etc! The book is 600 pages long. IMHO, the writer could have lobbed 200 pages off this and still told the same story! It's like she though that if she wrote a thick book, it would make her all clever and literary! I bought two of her books at the same time, but it's put me off trying the other one! I'm not sure whether to read the second one or to take it straight to a charity shop?!
