Mediocre account of a fascinating life     
This reads like a load of feature articles lazily clumped together. Badly written feature articles at that. There's room for a wonderful book on this fascinating, complex man. Some interesting nuggets (Martin O'Neill attended the Fred West trial, having a lifelong interest in true crime) but Montgomery never develops anything. Lots of punters speculate on what drives Martin O'Neill but nothing substantial.

Oh, and its very out of date (ending before Celtic vs. Liverpool in the UEFA cup last year)
