don't be horrid henry

my kids LOVE horrid henry, and this book is a fantastic introduction for those who can't manage a whole page of text. its a typical henry-type story, funny the whole way through, but aimed at a younger age group, and perfect for kids who are 5/6 years old and still need lots of illustration and smaller passages of text

Horrid horrid book

I got this book because I thought it would help my child adjust to the fact that he now has a younger brother and sister. With this book I feel he would dislike them more. No wonder Henry hates his brother, what with parents like that! They basically ignore Henry and blame everything on him. Admittedly it is his fault, but without them being there, they should not just scream at him...

An amusing tale of Brotherly Rivalry.

Poor Henry can never seem to get one up on his younger brother Peter, despite his creative devilment. Things turn out well in the end, but you can't help thinking that these two might well star in a series of adventures. A great story with a moral for those seemingly usurped by the arrival of a new "can do no wrong" sibling. One of our favourites.
