The best in this superlative series
|
If I was being critical I'd have to say this adventure is quite clearly the best of all the Asterix books. A tax collector is nobbled before he can get his hands on the money a greedy governor has been holding back from Rome. Cue the heroes Asterix and Obelix and Dogmatix on a classic adventure to the Alps, brilliantly drawn and written with warm friendly satire.
It is very nearly my own favourite, it is so good, but is just pipped by the ebullient Asterix and The Big Fight, for me. But I do realise Switzerland is better. This is a must for your children, whether they are bookish or not. It is a classic comicbook adventure.

Asterix at his best

Oh what a great way to spend time. Being an avid reader of Asterix I have to rate this one more highly than all the others. There is nothing that I don't like about this book. Brilliant from front to back covers.
