Customer Reviews:
Highly addictive
I bought this to read on holiday, and it was way better than some chicklit romance could be! I'm not a huge fan of biographies, but Sharon's story is more dramatic than most and had me gripped from the beginning. It was one of those books which I started and finished in one sitting and got irritated when people interrupted me. Frank, forthright and highly entertaining.
Surprising
I'm not a fan of autobiographies & definately not a fan of Sharon Osbourne, so I'd never seen the reality TV show on MTV or the X Factor. But this was one of the most honest & frank autobiographies I've ever read. It details her rise in her father's conmpany & the appalling way she was treated by him, to her love for Ozzy which has always been unconditional despite his demeanours. And you don;t realise how much she has had to put up with, a crazy family, a crazy husband to an extent, plus her children, Aimee who had cancer & Kelly & Jack who have had to go to clinics. Plus her own cancer, her husband's quad bike accident & the theft from her Chilterns home. WHat an amazing inspiration to us.
A very interesting, though outrageous autobiography
Made famous by her reality TV show and as a judge on The X Factor, Sharon Osbourne goes through steps of her life calmly, with an easy-to-understand tone. She reflects on her highs and lows, and depicts her father's financial cruelty. After a while the series of "last straw" events, whether it be Ozzy's attempt to murder her or her father putting her name on his debts, become a little too frequent, but if we are to take everything as true, she's done a very good job with this book. I should also add that there is a lot of very strong language.
A big disappointment
My husband bought me this book as I loved watching Mrs O on X Factor. It was an enormous let down. It is crude, badly written and most of the time uses descriptive foul language. I think she likes to shock but after reading the first few chapters - which were a shock - it all became just more of the same. Save your money and spend it on something else. If you really want to know what it is all about, borrow it from the library.
Surprising, this is a really good book !
I was given this as a gift and didn't really expect to enjoy it BUT I was hooked from the start. Sharon Osbourne has had an eventful life and her tough determined-to-cope style entertains to the end. If you like autobiographies you'll love this...
