Charming story, original, romantic and feel-good.

Just finished this and really enjoyed it. This is only my second book by SEP and probably now the 2nd of many. I picked it up on the way to work rather randomly and liked the thought of an arranged marriage plot. Like other reviewers I was a bit worried when the circus theme emerged but SEP has obviously done her research and I was won over, it fitted the story well. The H & H are both great characters and total opposites. He is cynical and hard but drop dead georgeous - of course - and she is a bit of a ditz with a marshmallow centre. The character development is well done, the circumstances are original, there are some very funny moments but also plenty of heart wrenching emotion. Highly recommended for a lovely emotional and ultimately a feel good read.

Delightful discovery

This was my first SEP book and I have since read nothing but her books for the last few weeks!! I only give out 5 stars for really amazing books (not necessarily life changing works of inspiration, but books that make me want to buy more by the same author).
I nearly got put off buying it by a review that mentioned it was set in a circus, but the general idea of the story line won and and boy am I glad it did!! So far this and Match Me If You Can have been my favs, although I've only just begun making my way through the list of SEP's books.
Great books to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and wile away the afternoon (or whole day in my case, as once I start...).

I would thouroghly recomend this to anyone who loves a good romance with humour.

The title has little to do with what I found to be a great book. Wonderful chick-lit. This is a re-print from 1996 and I'm glad. I hadn't come across SEP before but will definatley be ordering more books.
Alex is a wonderful Alpha hero: broody, good looking, delightfully clueless about his feelings for Daisy (who has just enough spine to counter her emotions). Loved watching them fall in love and found the circus-side of the book fascinating too.
Well worth a read.
