One scenario from this book is coming true as I write.

I read this book two years ago because I had come to similar conclusions about the future of humankind. I fully expect his scenarios to unfold unless we drastically change our ways and do more than tinker at the edges of the massive problems facing us. I was however hoping the first scenario to unfold would not be as soon as it has with the financial crisis in progress as we speak.

important and thought-provoking

This is an important book by Nobel prize nominee Ervin Laszlo. In it he asks us to think about the world we live in - its global problems and issues - environment, population growth, destruction of ecology and farmlands, terrorism and so much else that is happening all around us which most of us are in denial about. Laszlo says we have only a short period to make a difference - and it is up to each one of us to recognise the problems and work together to see what changes we can make while there is still time.
This book will open your eyes - and you will never think about the world we inhabit in the same way ever again.
