Easy to prepare, delicious, healthy recipes

A friend bought me this book as a present about five years ago and I think it's one of the best presents I've ever had. The recipes are really easy to follow and pretty quick to make and there are lots of really handy hints on how to do things like char grilling peppers. The best thing about this book for me is the sauces used in her recipes which I've adapted to use in my own dishes - for example I use the sauce in her Thai-Style Chicken Noodle Salad recipe to make vegetarian chow mein. The pictures are great too as they actually bear some resemblance to what you prepare yourself. This book is great for anyone who wants to eat healthily without slaving over the stove for hours.

Quick, easy, healthy recipes without compromising taste

Incredibly, Sue Kreitzman manages to almost avoid oils and fats altogether in this handy, easy to follow eclectic collection, and still delivers some delectable recipes, which are simple and quick to prepare (even for me, a slow hand in the kitchen). My favourites are Grilled Tandoori Burgers, the Morrocan-inspired Vegetable Stew with Fig and Chilli Chutney and couscous, and Thai-Style Chicken Noodle Salad. The book covers all courses, including soups and starters, salads, delicious desserts and even some wonderfully creative chutneys, relishes and vinaigrettes. It also has sections on ingredients and cupboard essentials. A worthy addition to bookshelves of the health conscious, or even the taste conscious.
