An excellent study guide

This book takes you beyond regular tourist German, through the very basics 'Hello - how are you?' through to complex discussions regarding meetings, presentations and all aspects of behaviour in a business environment. Along the way you learn how to tell the time, plan meetings, read menus (very useful!). The book contains many exercises and progress checks, and there are many complex conversations to listen to and analyse. The sections on grammar tend to get a little heavy - but then grammar is always a little tricky in any language. With the accompanying audio cassettes, this is an excellent study guide.
