Applin provides a full range of questions from foundation level dual award science, to separate science biology GCSE. Pages are colour coded depending on the level you are studying for. An excellent background reading text, the author uses a full range of diagrams and text to portray the ideas. Also included are interesting facts that even though they may not come up in the exams, spark interest in the subjects covered. Especially good reading for higher level candidates; the only downfall being that there are no answers to the questions set in the "checkpoint" sections throughout the chapters. A good investment!
