Excellent book

This book is very well writen and tells you exactly how an engine works. It is best understood if you have some technical background or have been playing around with some parts for a sometime. It takes some time to finish reading the whole book, but its worth the time you spend on it. This is a very good work and I highly recommend it to those who want to learn about cars.

Brilliant

Love this book. It is a must buy for anyone remotely interested in cars and what makes them work. So many people buy cars based on adverts telling them about independent rear suspension, 16 valves, turbo, double wishbones etc. Buy this book and understand what they are and why they can improve your car.

Very readable and well researched.

Excellent book for all those interested in cars

I cannot praise this book too much. I'm a software engineer who has just joined an engineering consultancy firm. They gave me this book to read to bring my knowledge about cars from nothing to a reasonable level.

I was a little daunted by the prospect of having to learn about the inner working of cars but this book explains everything you need to know in a simple yet comprehensive manner.

Not only is it easy to understand (there is minimal use of maths), it is a very good read too. I found myself putting down my bedtime novel in favour of this book.

Although I am still not an expert on the subject, I now know a fair bit about the inner workings of a car and why things are the way they are.

If you want to learn about how cars work then this is a fantasic book. BUY IT !!
