This is the most enchanting and thought provoking book that I have ever read and possibly the only book that has effected my everyday life in its simple and truthful perspective. The delightfulness of Mister God is centred on three things: Anna herself, the warmth and love that Fynn writes about her with and the great illustrations by Papas, which are a wonderful addition to the book. If you are looking to buy this book, make sure it has Papas' illustrations, they perfectly complement the style of Fynn's writing. This is a funny, sad and yet uplifting story that speaks about God, but not from what I recognise as a religious viewpoint. This is not a Christian book and should not be taken as such. It can, however, be read by both Christians and non-Christians with equal delight and relevance.

i read this book for the first time as an 8 years old girl, over twenty years ago, and i can still find something new in it every time i read it. i has so many perception on life, science relationships, & theology. a great book for life.

This is one of the most beautiful, amazing books I have ever read. Anna acts as a challenge to us all. Throughout the book, her thinking, unfettered as it is by the expectations of the world, is free to roam where it will, and she comes up with truly startling observations as a result. Whether you are a person of faith or not, you cannot fail to be struck by the wisdom and humanity of this little treasure.

the fact that this is a true story really struck me, as i didn't know this until after i'd read it. this is an amazing book, really thought-provoking. alternately emotional, dramatic and hilarious. anna is such a complex character, you will want to read this again and again. this is a particularly cute edition, imported from america, which is a handy pocket-size.
