Looking for spiritual growth?
|
Looking for spiritual growth? This book will guide you well. In-depth sections on many spiritual stumbling blocks e.g. Trust/Truth/Forgiveness. Format is great, daily subject with concise synopsis/ thought for the day, affirmations and exercises based on daily reading.
Gives encouragement to record personal reflections, a rewarding means of documenting progress. Can seem challenging to face many subjects hidden in long-lived denial, but worth the effort, a real life changer. I found myself that a strange yet very obvious synchronicity developed, between each daily topic and my day-to-day experiences.

This isn't a book that one would read from cover to cover at one sitting. It's definitely a programme that one would ideally embark on over a number of days, simply because true value comes with time, through the application of the principles and lessons elicited. While I found it a little on the "Christian" side (with mention of Jesus and the Holy Spirit), it didn't deter the value in the messages that were coming across. Having finished the 40 days and nights programme, I constantly go back to the "themes" on days when I feel "disappointed, or confused, or angry" (each chapter is themed this way), and find it tremendously soul uplifting. If you enjoy Shakti Gawain's Creative Visualisation, you'll like this one too!
