Terrible - Read S.M. Stirling's Terminator Trilogy Instead

Like most people, I started reading this book because I thought It would be in the form of a 'sequel' to the previous films. that is only 50% true....let me explain. In short, this is two books in one. One story leads on from the end of Terminator 2 and another story changes everything about the film - the Connors and the T-800 don't bother to blow up Cyberdyne and just sit on their backsides and wait for Judgement Day. Even the story where it leads on from the end of the film isn't very good. Overall the book rushes through the story at an unbelievable pace and leaves no room for character development. At some parts of the book, it decides to skip about 10 years and it gives you about half a page of what has happened during that time. This book only gets 2 stars only because a very small portion of the book was deemed mildly exciting. If you really want a proper sequel to Terminator 2 - read T2: Infiltrator, Rising Storm and The Future War by S.M. Stirling. These books explain everything and tie up all the loose ends that were left in the first two films. When you finish the last book, everything will become clear. I'll not give anything away but these books are set out the way we all wanted T3 to be - everything comes full circle - it will end the way it began............

An excellent follow on to a great movie

If you enjoyed the storyline of the film and craved more from it you will enjoy this book. it follows stright on from the end of the film showing you a world of fighting and decisions that effect the future of the human race. this book is excellently written the characters and story line are indepth and realistic by the end you will be gaging to read the follow up!

Confusingly written - go for S.M. Stirlings first

I'm going to say from the off, i'm only about half way through the book, and i wont spoil anything but so far, the script seems a lot less advanced than S.M. Stirlings, I've also found it to be far less engaging, that Infiltrator and Rising Storm. But so far the worst bit has been the confsing criss crossing between the two realities, the one that follows on from the film, which makes sense, but the other one known as "Skynets world" which gives an alternate plot from about half way through the film, but doesn't give a reason (at least not yet) I'd say this is more for the hardcore Terminator fan, but I'd recommend getting S.M. Stirlings Iinfiltrator and Rising Storm before this, it's not a bad book, it's just outgunned by two superior novels that go from a different timeline.

It's a good idea but unfortunately it's not written very well. The plot is good, where a group of six peeps come back from an alt timeline along with a new breed of terminator. The story and plot are strong and if your a seriouse t2 fan like myself then i recomend it, if not, give it a miss. It could have been written better, nice try and a good start. i hope the next addition is better.
