Very good anatomy text
With anatomy teaching being scaled down or moving towards the use of pro-section and models in most schools, there is more emphasis on students learning their basic anatomy for themselves, and a shifting emphasis to library based learning. A good anatomy book therefore is vital nowadays with the loss of practical experience that dissection provided. This book is well laid out using photographs, models and diagrams to illustrate salient points. The text, like most anatomy texts, takes a while to get to grips with but once familiar with basics is easily understood. Overall, very good as an anatomy text to supplement current anatomy teaching.

Clear and concise, well-labelled diagrams

The key to a successful anatomy text is the creation of a good balance between illustrations and written explanation. In this way Gosling's work is well constructed. Photographs are used effectively accompanied with idential diagrams with colour-coded schemes indicating the various key features; a theme used throughout the text. All in all perhaps one of its best features, setting the book apart from other books of its kind. Though the written explanations can be a little difficult to follow in places, the diagrams do allow readers to maintain orientation. Ideal for use in dissection classes or exam preparation.

The best aid for dissections

Gosling's book is my favorite between publications about human dissections. Now I can't imagine my life without this fine and easy written book at all. You can find photos of the sections and also perfect drawn diagrams with written important notes about given structure. I recomend this book for all english-teaching medical students around the world to make their life during time of the sections as easy as was mine.
