Still Exquisite after all those years

I feel indignant that this classic box set could get a very poor and highly critical review. In fact it turns out to be much better than the original boxed set. The presentation is still as exquisite as ever with a respect for the original editions, and the colour reproductions allow the hundred-year-old illustrations to look more vibrant than ever.
The typeset is much fresher and much more delicate and the whole set is housed in an attractive presentation box, much sturdier than the one that accompanied the original box set.
In short, definitely worth five stars for its exquisite designs and marked improvements over the original set, and also for its maintaining the delicacy of the originals ever since their first publication.

I was very disappointed. No wonder their was conveniently no image on the website. I had planned to buy the original Peter Rabbit box set, which is highly visible but was recommended the new version (no image attached). I thought the new version would come in a nice presentation box, the ideal gift for my God Daughter's Christening on Sunday. It didn't. Too late to send it back and get a box set. Very disappointed. Wish I had gone with my original choice.

I was so excited when I saw the Peter Rabbit 2002 edition. The books reminded me of the original edition which I collected saving my pocket money up each week in the 60's! There's more detail on the covers with the pictures but the stories remain as a classic as ever. Now I am grown up I can buy the whole set and keep them in mint condition forever.
