Horrible, nasty bitter book avoid if you are a fan.

Hardly any pictures (surely the reason to buiy a Lartigue book) and the accompanying text is wretched. An academic tries his best to tear down Lartigue (seriously, its a boring, bitter read) throughout. You get a sense that Moore truly hates Lartigue which having read his book makes you want to avoid Moore at all costs, truly there is nothing worse than an academic pub bore which is what he is.
Best example if you have read Franny and Zooey -- when Franny goes on about 'little section men' who go about 'ruining everything' just so they can be pleased with themselves, this is in effect this book. If you are a fan avoid at all costs. It will just make you bored and miserable and ironic as they are hardly any licensed pictures in the book.
