Too many occult references

I'm a mother of five who reads alot and encourages my children to read. I read alot for pleasure and also to make sure that the books my kids read are appropriate for them. I enjoy Harry Potter, Garth Nix, Artemis Fowl, Charlie Bone, The Edge cronicles, Tolkien, Funke, and many others. Even some of these I wouldn't let my younger kids read. under 9 years. I love fantasy books with dragons, wizards, and make believe and never have any of the hundreds that I've read ever dealt with occult ideals. I was willing to overlook the tarot card reading and dealing, but when they got out the quija board I closed the book and refused to finish it. It was NOT the bad guys using it. It was the good guys. Both tarot and quija board are tools of Satin. I'm disappointed that someone would want to promote this in young people. I hate not finishing a book, I very rarely not finish even if its a badly written one. But I could not promote this and I will not be donating it, it was put in the trash.
