Magnificent Series of Factual based fiction.

Brilliant book from start to finish. A great conclusion to one of the best series of books I have ever read. Jacq is the master of this genre.

Book five in the series of five, I could see in four where this would be going, but this series has been most enjoyable and informative I have read. You think this is the end, your wrong I already have the next which I purchased in Duty Free well ahead of the UK launch!

They published it early - Thank God, the wait was becoming unbearable! The last book in the Ramses series is not as engaging as the previous four, probably because in your heart you know how the book will end! As ever, beautifully written and all loose ends neatly tied up. Discovering and reading all 5 books has been one of the highlights of my year!

A disappointing end to a compelling series of books

It was with more than a little anticipation that I read the 5th part of the Ramses set of books. Over the last year, this series has been a mainstay in my reading. Jacq has built plot and characterisation into a previously little explored area of human history, combining the everyday with the magic. Each part of the series has contributed to redefining the popular history of Ramses, Homer, Moses et al. However, having involved the reader so intimately in the progress of this story, it was with some disappointment that the story seemed to tail off into a hurried and truncated ending. Surely, the originally promised sixth part would have been worth waiting for. Having said this, the book is worth buying for Jacq's enticing and clear narrative and for the depth of feeling that has obviously gone into the work. I await the collected edition.
