Blues Made Easy
|
As only a novice player,i have found this book invaluable.Blues is what i love, and blues is what i want to play,so this book hits the mark.
The information, charts and chord progressions can be found in other books, but you have to trawl through so much else to get to it.
If you want to play blues guitar and don't want to wade through page after page of musical theory, this is the book for you.

Great book- just as good as taking guitar-lessons!

Although the content (pentatonics, moveable chords etc) could be found in thousands of other guitarbooks, this one really does it for me. Maybe because it is so well written, short and concise, yet still gives you inspiration and desire to try the suggested exercises (or just play the blues!) I will take it with me (only one thing - it might have been nice, if it came in the "guitar-case/-bag format" like some other books), as a "first musical aid", when I "freeze" in my playing. For once I also find the cd, that goes with the book really good, great musical ideas told in the right way. I am really happy for this short little book - 40 pages, and it has been a long time since an "educational" book of this kind gave me so much inspiration. Fred Sokolow really nails down, what you've got to know in a superb way.
