N Aid to the MRCP Short Cases
This must be the bible for the MRCP final section. Although the 1998 edition does not take the new "PACES" format into account rumour has it that another edition is imminent. The book details the most likely conditions encountered in MRCP in order of occurrance - giving oodles of helpful hints on examination / presentation on the way. Not only that - the writing style makes it feel as though somebody really understands what you are going through! I will be buying this book (2003 edition) despite passing the exam and were I to buy only one book prior to "PACES" this would be it. It really is the nearest substitute to standing in front of the pateint.

a must-have for MRCP part II clinical
A very good book detailing general examination methods for specific systems (in the first part of the book) as well as examinations and clinical findings for particular diseases (in the second part). The layout of the book, presenting the most common diseases earliest in the book, allows structured revision of topics. Each section for a particular disease has an example of how to present the findings and a list of salient clinical findings. This is one of the essential books for Part II MRCP clinical exam, along with 250 short cases in clinical Medicine (Baliga)
