Short, but sweet

I read Wil Wheaton's blog, it's amusing but also reasonably interesting. I thought I'd take a look at this book and think I read it in about 2 hours. It was light hearted, amusing and sad at the same time. I am aware that these were the left overs from his book Just A Geek which is in the process of being published. Shame they didn't make the cut, but at least it gave something to read before the main event so to speak.

From Blog to Book - Brilliant!
|
|
This book contains wonderful, warmly written true tales from the experiences of Wil Wheaton. From the posts of his webblog (WilWheaton.net) he has collected together some of his favourites and rewritten them for this book. Perhaps best known from his 'Stand By Me' and 'Star Trek' days, the man is now an accomplished author, technical geek and member of a brilliant comedy improv team. This book is so personably written (if that's a scentence!) that anyone can get into it and should! To borrow a quote from another online review " He has a word processor......and he knows how to use it!" Enjoy :)

Wesly Crusher, NOT
|
To any readers of his blog, you know what to expect and you won't be disappointed. To those of you who only know him as Wesley Crusher from Star Trek TNG you are in for a big surprise!. The stories are from the heart and, if you’re a Star Trek fan, will make you think. But, ultimately these five true short stories will make you feel good and laugh.

Sweet read

Wil writes with passion, this his first autobiographical book has real heart. If you like to read stories of real emotion you'll love this book from an approachable writer. I look forward to reading more of his work in the future.
