A Weak but Overall Good Bildungsroman

I found this particular installment of TBC to be particularly lacking in three ways. Firstly, the characterisation, which is usually so strong, was quite weak and I didn't really "feel" for any of the girls. Secondly, I found the plot trite, and I noticed that it seemed to hinge on the chapter headings. Thirdly, I found the grammar simplistic and over-repetetive. However, I found that upon multiple readings, the book avails itself to the patient reader, e.g., upon deconstructing the plot itself, we find multiple removals from the unknown X plot-construction-algorythym and thus each major incident in the plot adds a new level. If this is taken into account, the author's satiric intentions come to light. Is not the Stalker the inevitability of human death, and the girls denial of the same? To live in perpetual youth has been a common theme in the human mythological corpus since the earliest recorded literature, and Ms. Martin's exploration of the theme is done with sincerity and a writer's touch.

It was a good book , I'd recommend it .

I like the way Abby had enough courage to throw the chunk of ice at Woodie Tate. I also respect the way the BSC handled the situation. I think it's funny the way Shannon ( human ) scolded Astrid. I think '' Baby-Sitters Beware'' was a good book and would recommend it.

When the BSC gets stocked, no one knows but them. Then Kristy's stepfather, Watson invites the BSC to his cabin in Shadow Lake. But the incidents continue. But will the baby sitters live this vacation? Read this thrilling book to find out.
