I bought this book this summer (2004) to help me with my A-level English Literature (we were doing a satire module of which Gulliver was the main text) and whilst this book was useful for brushing up on events in the book, it wasn't very in-depth nor did it count as 'further reading' in my opinion. There are a lot of other, more detailed, better written literary criticisms on Gulliver's Travels but this one seemed to state the obvious or to give very shallow and short insight into various aspects of the novel. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants a recap of the synopsis and the characters but nothing more deep in analysis or range of explanation.
