A must have for all first year school of the built environment students

As a mature student studying in my second year of a building surveying degree with twenty years experience in the construction industry, I can tell you that the best book for any student studying in higher education in building or construction at either college of higher/further education/technical college, HND or degree level is 'Construction Technology' by Roy Chudley, fourth edition (ISBN number 0131286420).

Great reference material.

From joists to windows this book has almost everything you need to know concerning construction technology - I found this a great reference book for my construction A level and it will equally as usefull for my degree. A must for any student or construction worker.

Another 'must have'
One step further than Chudley's 'Building Construction Handbook'. This book provides a more in depth, yet still clear and concise guide to all basic elements of building. Again another 'must have' for student and site management alike.
