If you are doing English lit this book will get you an A or A* no problem. It tells you everything from the characters to the symbols and themes. Before I bought this book i was worried about the exam but now i know a lot more about the type of essay and how to write it. Don't hesitate if you are doing Eng Lit.

A very useful study guide!

BUY THIS GUIDE IF YOU ARE STUDYING "LORD OF THe FLIES" FOR G.C.S.E! I found this guide amazingly useful. Not only does it have a brilliant map (for you to put the story in geographical context), it's also jammed with summaries and character evaluations. It certainly helped me re-analyse the novel and do well in my coursework. Shame about the front cover - from the not very faithful film, and could confuse slightly - but a greta investment!

A great book for all teenagers

I think that this is an excellant book. It is about a group of boys who are in a plane crash. They are isolated on a desert island. However Golding deals with issues concerning makind very. There are obvious struggles between good and evil. Religion also plays a part in this book.
