Blood relative

Excellent, and casts doubts on information we have been fed over the past about the story of the last Russian Tsar and hisFamily. A good read for anybody with interest in this topic. Very plausible. Note the photographs of the author and the likeness to other Royals.I am surprised that this book has not been the topic of debate since it was published.

Please pass a message to Michael Gray, I have read Blood Relatives and I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed it, it is the best book I have ever read - and at the age of 68 years I have read 'quite a few'. I do so hope Michael Gray is enjoying his life in spite of the reprocussions he had to endure. It is the first time I have written to an author, but I enjoyed the book so much (sad that I have now finished it), I felt I must pass on my thanks to the author. The research that went into the book was tremendous. Many thanks Margaret Clements

the Saga continues

Just when we thought we had laid the Romanovs to rest, we are confronted with the surprising news that Alexei has been resurrected. In "Blood Relative" the Alexei was brought to safty on board of HMS Marlborough in the retinue of the Dowager Empress. And then this "imperial cat" really got the "royal cream" - an affair with and a natural son by Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent, who even wanted to run away with Alexei, at least with her jewels. Some common sense seems to have prevailed. At least, she had been recently widowed and was the mother of three young children. Damm! all the biographies of Princess Mariana missed this truly romantic and exciting story. How could they??? What about proof? Yes of couse - photos showing a resemblance with royalty. Did not we see that all in the Anastasia saga? Conveniently the "real Alexei" has died and his descendants now proclaim their case. Of course, DNA test were not carried out. Do these books not play with our need for mystery in which we could indulge in the days of pre-DNA-testing? And now, just a little DNA and all the nice and romatic illusions disappear. But I have a little favour to ask - give me a little time to digest this book before the real Alexei will make his appearence! Not worthwhile reading at all !!!

A fantastic and convincing read, recommended!

I have read this book from cover to cover 3 times now and am still addicted. The author unfolds his story with intricate detail and a sense of suspense that is gripping. The scientific facts, coupled with the great story, make this book an amazing read. I must say that after reading this book, I am convinced this man's story is real. I think that anyone who has reviewed this book here and made it out to be fiction must have already made their decision on its authenticity before they opened it, which is a sad fact. They say it is the most creative story yet, while I protest it is the only truthful story yet, and just because it has all the answers does not mean it is "creative". I would ask that reviewer to not display their ignorance so openly. To sum up, whether you believe it or not, Blood Relative is a truely amazing book, and one that you will not regret buying. A gripping storyline mixed with undeniable scientific evidence makes a great read!

A really exiting book

I really thougt all was said and done after the DNA-analysis in 1994 concerning the tsar and his family. Then I came across this fascinating reading by mr Gray. Though I am not totally convinced the story is true, that Nikolaj Chebotarev was the tsarevich Allexej and mr Gray his son I must admit it can be true. It sounds more reasonable than most stories of any supposed escape of alexej,(Goleniewski and others.)The author makes some errors which annoys me e.g with dates. He repeatedly writes that the russian royalties who left Russia onboard the brittish ship Marlborough was in 1920 although it is wellknown this happened in april 1919. But on the whole this is a grat read and I hope we shall know more in the near future about this story and what really happened to the tsar and his family.
