Equal Rites review

Equal Rites is simply brilliant. In Equal Rites Eskarina,is an eighth daughter of an eighth son and now with the help of disapproving Lancre witch Granny Weatherwax she must travel to the great twin city of Ankh-Morpok to become the Disc's first female wizard. If you are a fan of sci-fi or fantasy then Terry Pratchett combines both of these interests in his Discworld series. If you enjoy this book then try book numbers 6,12,14,18,23,28 and 29.

Every book of his leaves me wanting to read another. All are as funny as the next! Somebody should forget the Harry Potter film and make a good Discworld epic!!!!!!!!!!!

Equal Rites is the first Terry Pratchett novel I ever read and it definitely wasn't the last... I was looking for a book to read and wasn't very enthusiastic about any books I'd seen when I picked this one up. I read it in one night, and the next day I bought two other discworld books. I think it was funny - hilarious even. I got interrupted quite a bit by friends asking me what was so funny every time I burst out laughing. Can't wait to read them all. Perhaps this one wasn't my favorite ("Guards! Guards!" or "The Lost Continent" are even better), but it definitely deserves a 5 star. Believe me, its worth it...

When Terry Pratchett first created the Disc it was a strike of genius. His first two book's were helarios and this eaven better. He has ventured into the world of sexisem with a brilliant outcome. His portrail of a young girl destined to fit into the man's world of wizaedry is an insparation to young laidies across the Disc (Oh not forgeting our quint littel world). A witch who hate's city life is thrust into the horros of ankh-morpork and she actully quit like's it. Terry has out done him self this time, but can he do is again in mort......... Probably. Keep it up Terry, we love it.
