Although i did find this book easy to read and understand and i quite liked the way in which mr Carr presented it i was disappointed in the contents of which is always the same in the self-help books available, "be positive", "think how lucky you are" etc. There was nothing new that i had'nt read before in other books just another one to add to my collection.

waste of money and time

The easy way to stop smoking was brilliant and stopped me smoking over 2 years ago with no desire to return to it. Fantastic....so I though't I'd try this book out but it is terrible. Just a collection of look before you leap anecdotes where Alan tells us that all he had to do was invent the Easy Way to Stop Smoking which made him successful, rich and stopped him worrying about money. Do not waste your money on it.

Just read the last couple of pages

Although I am a born worrier mum bought this as a joke for Christmas for me. It wasn't even worth laughing over, it's just rubbish. The "revolutionary" method simply states the obvious about why you shouldn't worry but doesn't tell you anything new. The last pages with the golden rules appendix sum up everything the book tells you, so don't bother even reading the rest of it!

One paragraph per page of self-congratulatory boredom. Yet the smoking one was so good.

For once Mr Carr's critics are right..here's a shocking money-spinner. Absolute nonsense.
