great for motivating the soon to be best man

firstly, this book has no surprises or revelations. it is full of straight forward advice, good ideas, hint and tips. But it is a really good way of getting the best man thinking about things ahead of time and it points out things that our best man had not thought of, like making the speech family friendly and his responsibilities on the day. really useful. a bargin

A useful summary but perhaps a little out of date

The Best Man's Organiser was certainly a useful book to get hold of before being a best man for the first time. It contained information on the whole wedding process which, for those people who haven't been married thmeselves was very useful and allowed me to make sure things were going to plan. The best thing about the entire book was the opportunity to include it in the speech. Phrases like: "I was nervous having never been a best man before so I bought a book" have appeared in many speeches by people I have lent this book to. The best of these included a reference to a passage in the book saying that "it was the responsibilty of the best man to dance with the bride, the brides and grooms mothers and all the other women at the reception" This was followed by the best man having a most excellent evening! All in all this is a good reference for any first-time best man but, given the modern interpretation put on weddings today it could perhaps do with a few revisions?
