This book is truely brilliant. Though aimed at children, the poetry will make any adult smile, and many of the poems are simple in a refreshing way that many adult poems are not. They are made to work on a touching or amusing level with no double meanings or complicated levels that would be way over childrens heads.
A wonderful gift for a child of any age, it would surely be treasured in later years. All the classic childrens poems are here, including the fun longer poems which tells stories and also give morals, like 'Matilda, who told lies and was burned to death', giving a clear message to any porkie-pie-prone youngsters.
Nice rhythmic poems also make them fun for bedtime stories, and many can easily be learnt off by heart by children and adults.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book, i know that i will love and cherish as part of my childhood forever.
