A breath of fresh air!

I've read countless romance novels (including hundreds of the historical variety) and can honestly say that I found this book to be refreshingly different. Teresa Medeiros has managed to write a 'fairytale' type story of a handsome prince and his young bride - with a twist! In this case, the Prince sends out his messenger to find a wife who WON'T tempt him into wanting more from her than a mother for his children. Needless to say, Willow is more than a match for him, for as well as being pretty, she's smart enough to know what she wants and sets out to beseige him with hilarious results! Well worth a read if you want more from your romance reading than plotless flowery prose.

Very charming

In 1360 England, Lord Bannor the Bold returns to his home after years at war. Bot h his wives have died, leaving him with a dozen children to raise. With no mother, the children have become royal monsters. Bannor, afraid that he'll get another woman with child, sends his steward to find him an ugly wife who will be mother to his children. What he gets instead is Lady Willow, a beautiful young woman whose dreams are of a prince charming. At first Bannor is horrified! Lady Willow would surely be too tempting for him. He ignores her and sets his children out to terrorize her. He is surprised when she joins forces with the children to make HIS life miserable. Eventually the two find a truce and find that true love always wins. This was my first book by Teresa Mediros, and I found it to be very charming and sometimes extremely funny! Highly recommended.

One of her best

This book was so good that I finished the book within a day. Teresa Medeiros is one of my favourite authors todate. I just love books where children are involved with grown up helping them realise their love for one another. Now days there are books with nothing in them but reader's giving them a score of five where they don't deserve it but this is for sure not one of those authors and I recommend this book to those readers who want the story to keep moving and not stay stagnant.

One of the funniest books ever!

Just reading the synops on the back cover is enough to get you hooked. I bought this book back in april, and have reread it twice. You will laugh, cry over the antics of Lord Bannor and Lady Willow. Just imagine 12 children. One of the funniest scenes was Willows "a hunting". A must read for all. Thanks T.M.

I'm still laughing!

I read fantsy books not romance novels. But I was in a K-Mart shopping for a book and all they had that was even close was this one. And I was never more entertained! I didn't put it down till I reached the end and then took it directly to another friend and they did the same. I'm reformed. I will read all her other books, and if they are even half as good they will be great. Thanks my lady for putting some love with your laughter and showing me not all fantasy has to be blooded to be great! And please write more of Bannor and Willow and their brood.
