An interesting and funny read

This book cleverly weaves fact, fiction and myth into a thought provoking and at times hilarious tapestry. The premise - that the ghost of Roger Casement appears to villagers near Banna Strand - in itself raised a smile from me and that smile held throughout the book. The characters are likable and there is compassion here too. My only crib would be that the dialogue didn't always ring true for me. All in all though, an enjoyable book which I would recommend to anyone but particularly to those with an interest in Ireland and it's history.
