Recommended reading for every medical professional

This is a great book that should be read by every doctor, nurse or medical student. Oh, and soldier or marine if you want to understand why your first aid training matters. It's a fascinating account of the Falklands War from the medics' perspective, in diary form, day by day. It is well written and unput-downable and covers just about every incident and battle during the war and gives a unique insight to life and actions behind-the-lines.
So many Falklands veterans are alive today thanks to the superb medical treatment they received, from their mates on the battlefield, to this field hospital, and final casevac on the long chain back to the UK.

Not your normal war book

The author of this book is possibly the only person to be decorated by both sides in a modern conflict. The story of the field hospital in the Falklands war is both well written and compelling. Essentially a human story dealing with the courage of those whose job it was to save the lives of others, from both sides. Proud of his achievements where all who entered the field hospital alive left alive Rick Jolly has written a moving and heart warming narrative.
