Customer Reviews:
Sensational
This third book has funnier and livelier characters than the first and second. This book gave a better characterization of the different girls than the first two. The depth of their friendship and concern for one another other is vividly explained, as well as their consideration for the people who crossed their lives. This book is both inspiring and hilarious. Also liked Triple Agent Double Cross, Tourist in Yucatan.
More of the travelling pants
Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bee are back in the third book in the sisterhood. In the summer before they separate and go off to different colleges, the pants spend less time travelling as they had done in the first summer, with only Bee going back to soccer camp. This time she is going as one of the coaches, but is surprised to find when she gets there that Eric too has returned. All her feelings from two summers ago come whirring back, only this time even more magnified.

Having learnt to accept the new partners of both her dad and mum, Carmen discovers that there is to be yet another new addition the family, and once again she finds herself struggling to come to terms with it.

Lena desperately wants to go to art college, but her dad is against the idea. She spends her time trying to grow away from her family and get what she wants without defying him, and in the process learns to understand her family better.

Tibby's story is far more subdued than in the first summer. Still recovering from the death of Bailey, she finds it hard to express her feelings for other people, no matter how strong those feelings are.

This chronicle of the sisterhood is just as enchanting and loveable as the previous two, written with the same profound air and still able to capture the readers' hearts. Those who have read and loved 'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' and 'The Second Summer of the Sisterhood' will be drawn in by this in the exact same way. To those who have not read either of the previous two, you may want to do so before moving onto this one to fully understand the depths of the characters. Nonetheless, this is a fantastic book and I only wish I could have given it more than five stars.

Absolutely charming, the best.
An inspiring book especially the bonding of Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget. The thing I liked most about the story is Brashares creative writing style and the characters themselves. They are so real and easy to identify with, a refreshing change from the many surreal offerings of late. I loved it. Another book with a great bonding, but of two women, a scientist and a doctor is Fusion by Bruce Huntly. Girls in Pants is refreshing and will surely put a smile on your face.

Also recommended: Fusion by Bruce Huntly.

brilliant book!!!
I got the set of these books for christmas, and i couldn't put them down, they were so involved. the relationships between all of the people metioned in the books are so well explained, that you feel as though you are a part of their lives.
I can't wait to see the film, and I hope another book is on the way to continue with this fantastic series.

A great feel good book, but you have to read all three to understand it.

I couldn't wait for this one to come out, having read and enjoyed the first two. It was worth the wait! The way Ann Brashares writes makes the reader really care about the characters, and by moving from one girl to another it keeps the interested and they want to find out what's going to happen to each girl. Her descriptions of the emotions of the characters are also fantastic- they are very detailed and you can really empathise and understand how they feel.

I would recommend this book to any teenage girl, as it is just absolutely fantastic! It is funny and sad at the same time, and made me cry at the end (and it is very rare for a book to do that). Read it!
