A lovely book about friendship and growing up! ^_^

This was a great book, an endearing and addictive read! It's about four very different friends who decided (on a summer they are about to be seperated for the first time) to stay in touch with each other by passing on a pair of 'magical pants' every alternate week.
These pants come with a certain set of rules and can't be washed. They must also be marked with evidence of things the wearer has gone through or done in the summer, explained with an accompanying letter to the next member of the sisterhood to use the pants.
During the summer, each girl goes through changes and learns things about the others that they didn't before and at the centre of it all are the pants, their link and source of sisterly love. Also made into a feature film of the same name, this is a great book for teens, esp. girls!
I really loved it, and highly recommend it! There are four books in the series, and I plan to get all of them now! ^////^;

Light, funny...a breath of fresh air

This really is a great read. It is able to connect with teenagers of today whilst, at the same time, it is written well and has some good lessons in it. The four best friends - Lena, Carmen, Tibby and Bee - are spending their first summer apart.
They are baffled by the prospect of hardly seeing each other for a whole summer, and so come up with the idea of traveling pants (in English, travelling jeans!). After finding a pair of jeans that magically seem to look great on them all, they agree to wear the pants for a short time each on their holidays then send them on, creating a chain.
The book follows the adventures the pair of pants has, and the story is told from four different eyes. It is a great read, fresh and quirky with a hit movie to match.
I strongly recommend this novel.

Book of the year!!!!

I found this book very funny and great fun. It was romantic and full of embarrisment and you just think'why would you do that?' but it is all part of the fun. I would say it is for older children eg- 12 years old as there are some sexual comments. It is about 4 best friends who have romanic, funny and sad adventures that just make you love them all the more. It is one of my favorite books and if you are a teenager you will love it to bits- i could not put it down. I think this book is sad but the main idea is ROMANCE and there is alot of that!

I just watched this amazing, emotional movie and i think its the best teen movie ever made!! Its the best potrayal of teen girls sticking together and doing well at school........what they found lacking in their own personal lifes they found it in each other.........I cried so many times the girls are so real!!!!!!!!! thank you for making this incredible move!!!
