Customer Reviews:
Change of mind
This book seems to improve with rereading. I must admit to being disappointed the first time round, but there are lots of nuances I seem to have missed. The jokes are quite subtle and I did not realise there were so many allusions to current films, other books and to poems. Very enjoyable.
This is pathetic :(
If there was a zero star option on this site then I would have immediately selected it.

I have read a very large number of animal fantasy novels am pleased to say that this is by far the worst. An almost direct copy of Redwall books like 'Pearls of Lutra', the transfer from the glades of Welkin to the great seas is not a pretty one (yes, I have read the other two Welkin Wesels books and the second one was actually quite good).

Disasters start from the beginning of the book. You actually have to read the other two books to find out what the heck is going on! Sylver's band are bleak in character, boring, humourless and, with weasels like Mawk, anoying, lame and totally unlikeable. The story is flawed, descriptions lack the beauty of Redwall and there is no passion whatsoever - it seems like only black letters on paper. Adding in humans at the end only makes the situation worse. Seriously, this book is terribly stupid.

You get my drift.

How come animal adventure books are now becoming cliched? It's hard to find any original ideas in the animal literature world today, and even once excellent series like Redwall have deterred in quality over the years.

A must for anyone who has read any of the Redwall series.
This is the best of the Welkin Weasels Trilogy and a thrilling read. It centres around a huge problem. The walls that stop Welkin from being flooded are cracking and Sylver and his band must find the humans and bring them back. They, however, are being chased by Sherrif Falshed and Flaggatis.
A must for all animal and fantasy lovers!
Sylver and his band of weasels are of in search of the humans again. The weasels take to the high seas with a band of pine martins to sail to the island of Dorma , coming across many adventures along the way. A brilliant and very humorous end to the great trilogy, The Welkin Weasels.
Another great book by Garry!
Another great book full of adventures with a lot of people mislead by the belief that Sylver and his band are secrtately hunting hidden treasure. This is a great book for all.
