The Gift
|
Set in a small mid-western town in America in the 1950s where a child's senseless death, the breakup of a marriage and the arrival of a stranger lead to changes in many lives, and to the restoration of a family's dreams.

This a a very successful book, which will make u laugh, cry and smile with it's rambling tale of a 16 year old girl, who is set to bring a gift to those who will mean the most to her when she meets them. Danielle Steel shines throughthis book, and allows you watch Maribeth and tommy support each other though their own grievences, and good times. It's written with a subtle magic, that makes you want to reach out and touch the page, as Danielle allows us to make the contact towards the characters. The gift appears in many lights, and in different images, making the best out of the situation, and letting others share the gift....spell binding. I give you the gift.
