If you're thinking about it...GO FOR IT!

As usual Morris manages to set the story in a world I recognise, teenage kids, the fear of bullying, friends and their parents...throw in plenty of fear and horror and your emotions won't let you put the book down. Great characters you just have to keep reading to find out what happens to them. I'd have given it five stars if it weren't for 'The Land of Nod' which although I can see was nessecary for the ending, rambled on too much and made me want to skip pages. HOWEVER - don't let that put you off as it's only a small part of a story well worth a read!!

Picked this book up on Holiday, found it very chilling and have since read it a number of times now. Highly recommended although perhaps not for those of a nervous disposition.

An amazing novel set in a small English seaside town.

For a debut novel this book is amazing. The author has captured all that is fearful and turned the lives of 4 children upside down with a whirlwind of events. First there is the apperance of a spiritual being with powers of evil, and as we read through the book (which reads like a King novel [IT]) we are taken to another dimention, one of goals and mosters. Read it to believe it!
