The Thing
|
|
I first saw John Carpenter's The Thing and was impressed;it's not an out and out blockbuster but a good film none the less. After viewing the film i searched out Allan Dean Foster's novelisation of the movie and it blew me away. His characterisation is spot on and his ability to draw you into the book is spellbinding. The way he envisages the camp and its surrounding environs could almost make you believe he had been there. Sadly the book is out of print and old copies or the ones you can find are getting rediculously expensive; So if you come across a copy, snatch it up and be pleased with yourself that you got yourself a great bargain, because they are becoming harder to find. So sit back and let mr Foster take you on a mind blowing journey.
