Beginners Bliss

I personally found Neural Networks a bit of a handful and had previously tried upto 10 (and 'zillions' of other publications) other books on this subject and only just about understood the principles involved. This book is very unassuming when it comes to implementing and explaining in detail neural networks. It even explains the mathematics involved, sometimes using graphical simulations. My hat goes off to the 3 individuals who wrote it. If you are new to Neural Networks, then I believe that you really should get this book and no other.

A great Addition to any Matlab users book shelf

This book is based around the NN toolbox in Matlab, but contains more information about the algorithms used than in the program books. It explains the algorithms in simple manor which could easily be understood by any one with a basic grasp of algebra and then implimented with suitable program skills. Most areas of neural networks and there use are covered My only complaint personnelly is that there is nothing on the application of NN to control problems. However all other areas of NN are covered and their suitability for various tasks explained. If you are just starting out in NN this is a great book to have.
