If ever a trading book could be claimed to be gripping- this was it for me. I could not put it down and will be reading it again. I learned heaps from this and have managed to script some of the concepts into my own trading software that provide me indicators of markets to trade.
An excellent book, and must have for anyone interested in trading the finacial markets.

Builds on his excellent first book

Even if you own Dr Elder's first book I recommend getting this as well as he re-visits his earlier technical inidicators and explains how he has updated them, as well as many new indicators that he uses. If you liked the first book then you'll definitely like this one as it has many additions and new ideas.

A Cracker!

I am a complete novice to trading and so when I first set out looking for books I wanted all the latest 'hot' books. I also purchased the Murphy's TA 'bible'.
I read about 3 books on forex and trading and couldn't get into TA of the financial markets, then I purchased this book. I truly is a great book. It opens your eyes as a novice as to how to behave, identifies the real things that will ultimately help you become a better trader.
It has given me the impetus to want to learn more, because I belive that after reading this book, that I am in a far better position than I was 3 months ago.
I cant recommend this highly enough

I was slightly disappointed with Dr. Elder's another book 'Trading for A Living', mainly because, despite his promise in the introduction of that book, that book failed to spell out the issue of money management. I am quite pleased to find that Dr. Elder noticed what the defects of his first book are and rectify them in this book, which is his second work. It's been over a decade since Dr. Elder's first book was published, and I am aware that he has got more discoveries and useful advice than he had a decade ago to share the reader in this book.

Excellent Introduction

This very readable book lives up to its title - it really is a complete guide to trading. It provides a clear and in-depth introduction to the key aspects of psychology, systems, money management, organisation, and record keeping. I am grateful to Dr Elder for giving me the starting points and the encouragement to put together a comprehensive plan and to resume trading on a more disciplined, intelligent, and professional basis than previously.
