This book is a mess...

After reading the very good 2nd edition of the same said book by Todd Lammle (for Cisco exam 640-801), this book is a total disappointment. It's a complete copy and paste effort of the 2nd edition, lashed together in no doubt a very quick response to the new Cisco 640-802 exam requirements. The book is littered with numerous errors, and you'll get the strange sense of deja-vu as huge chunks of exactly the same text that you have previously read are dumped un-edited straight into later pages.
It's totally obvious that this book has been rushed into print without being properly proof read, and that it's just a very bad re-hash of the previous incarnation. Do yourself a favour, avoid this book and find one that has been tailored for the 640-802 exam rather that one that has been ripped to pieces and patched backed together in a quick and poor attempt to meet the new Cisco requirements.

A copy and paste failure!

I brought this book after reading the very good CCNA Sybex full edition. This book however has been copied and pasted, which I suppose is fine. Its purpose was to point out the important parts of the CCNA. But I'm on the first chapter and already found mistakes that refer to the wrong diagrams. Who ever proof read this can't have understood the concepts and was just looking at the English. TERRIBLE I'm being forced to refer back to the book I had. So IMO this has been a waste of money! Stay away from this book!
