The world is a stage

This book is more pragmatic than Quinn's 'beyond rational management'. Especially the 'negative zones' in the management performance score are a major improvement. It helps managers across the board to improve themselves in a practical way. It gives a good description of the roles to play as a manager and several questionnaires to help you assess the learning potential of yourself and others in your management teams.
I recommend P. Senge's 'The fifth discipline' for complementary reading.
