Unscientific     
Anything she has to add to conventional and scientifically estabilished health improvement behaviour, is either blatantly wrong or completely unproven. Therefore, you could probably get all the useful stuff from cheaper generic sources.
Don't think about it, just buy it.     
This book make the flight across the big pond for me and the 21 day wait to get it was worth every second and extra penny. It is true, this is THE book as a resource guide. If you even think you will like it, buy it, you won't beable to put it down. Mine sits on my coffee table and I read parts of it over and over every day. It has enlightened me tremendously on areas that American physicians have no information on nor do they know where to tell you to go to get the information. After struggling with underactive thyroid and wheat and dairy intolerances I am now enlightened as to what my internal system is managing on a day to day basis. I've made changes already and am reaping higher energy rewards. I was already a healthy eater and have a very active lifestyle but this book puts food at a whole new level, a healing level.
Great Read     
Gillian's Food Bible is her best book yet. It's extremely useful - easy to read, the problem is at times I can't put it down! It's an excellent reference to have to hand for any ailments and well being. For those of us who really care about healthy living - it's a must buy. As you read the various sections you find yourself thinking of your children, mother's, and grandmother's eating habits and general health! When I arrived in the country 5 years ago, you couldn't buy the wholefoods, whole grains and organic produce in the supermarkets you can today. So hats off the lady for shaking up the nation and making a difference in how we look at food.

I'd been looking for a lot of answers to my health and fitness questions and this is one book that has all my answers!

Full of useful information and advice, this is one book I'd thoroughly recommend!
easy to understand one stop guide for your food and health concerns     
This is probably the most useable book that Gillian McKeith has written so far. It is essentially a complete compendium that provides a thorough guide to the direct relationship between food and health, looking in detail at the effects we can have on our bodies and our general well being by taking some simple steps. Not only does the book lend itself to being a useful resource to dip into when you need to find out about a condition or illness, it is also immensly readable and has already expanded my knowledge on many areas I was not aware of.

Be prepared though - if you are planning on just dipping in here or there, you may well be sucked into a whole new world and then find yourself clearing the store cupboards of the usual junk and hitting the shops to restock with far healthier alternatives. The advantage being this time you know why your buying certain foods and what the benefits are that will follow.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a one stop bible for all food and health issues - and that might just be most of us!
Some pretty nasty meals coming up...     
I was enthusiastic about the book... until the evening of day 1. You'll get so fed up with eating the same food 6 times a day ! You'll end up being hungry all the time as your stomach learns to process food faster and faster. The food tastes extremely bland, you go to the bathroom about 12 tims per day, and some of the recipes produce very nasty results... such as the meringue for example, absolutely awful... and the alternative to the meringue is eating 4 scrambled egg whites for breakfast, with no salt, ketchup, nothing but the cooked egg white which is really disgusting.
Eating very bland food and basic veggies may sound exciting to Americans who are used to eating food with lots of additives of all kinds... but to a Frenchman, there's nothing wonderful to it.
I would recomend a good old Weight Watchers diet instead. At least you can keep eating normally, with 3 meals and a snack per day.
This really Works!!!!     
I cant praise this book enough... I think Michael Thurmond is a genius... I have followed this diet for 6 days now and have lost 11 lb... It is amazing... I have followed it religiously, and am so pleased.. I am going to carry the concept on now, which will lead me to my goal... It is truely unbelievable..
The only down side is it does take lots of preparing, and getting ready, but I tend to get all my meals for the following day ready the previous evening...works well for me..
As long as you follow the diet and exercise its brilliant!!! well worth the money..
