Year 1 100 science lessons

I have to say of all the editions that have been created for the 100 lessons this is the best one by far. It matches up to QCA precisely. It almost gives you 2 years worth of work which for me in a mixed age class helps significantly.
If the other subjects 100 lessons are as good as this in the future my planning would be made alot easier.

Best Science resource I've seen for Year 1

Fantastic! Having been very disappointed with the Literacy book of the same series, this book is brilliant. As a new teacher to Year 1 this book was so helpful. Over 18 lessons for each of the 6 topic areas to be covered throughout the year. Fully differentiated activity ideas (photocopiable worksheet in book or differentiated worksheets to print from accompanying CD-ROM) and assessment opportunities too. Highly recommended for teachers, a great time saver which has been tried and tested!

This book has all the paper work you need for the science curriuclum for year one - and yes there really are 100 'do able' science lessons. It runs inline with the QCA units for work and so can be used on it's own or adapted to suit your style of teaching. As a NQT I intend to use a lot of the ideas to help me get through that first year of science teaching with my new class - there is enough pressure from other areas and so there is no ponit in reinventing the wheel when these ideas only take a little adjusting to suit the class.
